Designed for a blended family, the houses's plan and site design are governed by deed restrictions of its gated patio home neighborhood.  White the house is pushed to one side (no windows are permitted along this facade), it adapts to zero-lot-line constraints through creative solutions in plan and materials. It creates visual links from one room to another, while breaking down conventional partitions and retaining the sense of privacy and spirit of the houses established context.​
