Greg Swedberg, AIA

He's a Houston-native and formed 2Scale Architects as a practice that collaborates with interior designers, consultants, contractors, and engineers to produce thoughtful, relevant projects.

After graduating near the top of his class at the University of Houston, Greg Swedberg spent the early part of his career working with teams comprised of top flight designers, architects, and planners throughout Houston.  Their passion for quality architecture was truly evident in the high profile projects spanning scopes including high-end retail boutiques, university laboratories, luxury condominiums, and multi-million square foot corporate campus planning work. The variety of projects in this fast paced business environment enriched his dedication to developing client relationships, business ethics, and unique architectural design. Through their mentorship, Greg has developed his own architectural process which is clean, easy to comprehend, and produces memorable works.

Greg Swedberg is a Registered Architect with the State of Texas (#21129) and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) where he has been an involved member of the Kids + Architecture Committee (2019 chair) and Small Firm Roundtable. He is a leader in his daughter's American Heritage Girls troop, a drummer in the Trinity Klein worship team, and loves hiking and exploring the great outdoors.

Jesus Aponte, AIA

He joined 2Scale Architects in August 2014, starting as an architectural intern. He enjoys investigating the intersection of clients’ wishes with how they really live. When these sometimes divergent forces are solved elegantly, Jesus feels clients attribute even greater value to the designs. He is a creative problem solver, dedicated to client satisfaction and collaborating with others to produce award-winning designs.

During his career with 2Scale Architects, Jesus has been involved in the design and construction of more than 50 projects, ranging from small renovations to large, single-family houses. He believes that while each project presents its own challenges, it is also a great opportunity to better understand the human condition. Originally from Puerto Rico, Jesus started his career with a mentorship under Oscar Marty at OGM Arquitectos, developing several project types and scales.

Jesus Aponte is a Registered Architect with the State of Texas (#28203) and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Jesus earned his master’s degree in architecture in 2013, his bachelor’s degree in environmental design in 2010, as well as a post-bachelor certificate in urban studies in 2010 ― all from the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras. In his free time, Jesus relaxes while watching sci-fi shows, enjoys photography, and reading both architecture and comic books.
