It's a funny thing when a client comes in our door asking for a house that has two distinct feels - contemporary and craftsman - because we must ask ourselves, "how contemporary?... how craftsman do you want it?" This empty nester family didn't want the big-house that dominated the street front, and didn't want the prototypical layout. The result was a home that felt special, felt like them, felt right-sized, and felt like a place they and their friends would enjoy for the rest of their years.
